I know... I know... I am posting twice in one day. Please be sure to look at my beautiful son and daughter's pictures that I TOOK TODAY IN MY LIVING ROOM with MY NIKON camera on a VELOUR BLANKET that I bought at K@hl's!!!! They are beautiful!! Too beautiful??? So... here's why I am posting again tonight... I order LOTS of pictures of the kids (like the ones below)from Walgre@n's online tonight. I always buy all my pictures, photo posters and photo books (heck, I just advertised for them in my last post) through Walgre@n's.com . I can pick my photos up at 8:13 pm and Shasha and I walk through their door at like 8:20 pm. The girl, Louise, is standing behind the photo counter waiting for me! I tell her my last name and she tells ME my first name! What is this? She tells me that she can not give me my photos because they are professional photos and I have broken copyright! Huh??? At first, I thanked her. I told her that I am glad that she thought my pics were that good but that I took them with my own camera in my living room this afternoon. She then calls the assistant manager over who continues to tell me that the background is a professional background and when they see pictures like this they know that they are professional and cannot sell them to me. I am like... You mean the velour blanket that I took off my living room couch??? She then strts lecturing me on copyright laws. I'm a librarian. I know all about copyright laws!! I spend $100's of dollars at Sadi@'s on pictures every year... I just spent $149.00 to PURCHASE my Disn@y Ph@topass pictures! I know what copyright is! These pictures aren't copyrighted... They were taken TODAY in MY livingroom by ME with MY camera on a $19.00 blanket!!!! (Take a look at this picture... for goodness sake you can see out my front door!)

Then the assistant manager, starts questioning my 3 year old daughter about the photos!!!! She asks her if the girl in the photo is her and Shasha just looks at her and says, "no".
Indra was stunned! " Huh??? What do you mean this isn't you?? Did your mommy take these pictures???"
Shasha just slowly shook her head up and down. Are you kidding me??? You are drilling my 3 year old daughter??? For those of you that know me... I spazzed! By the way... I did get my pictures! But they made me sign a release form stating that I was the photographer.
OK... so should I be mad???? Or should I just chalk this up as I'm a better photographer than I thought???

Jami,
The photos really ARE wonderful, but those gals sound a bit kooky. Why would you be developing a professional's role of film anyways?? LOL
I hope you are all feeling better each day and I KNOW you are loving having your precious baby boy home! So happy for you all!
Congratulations again on your beautiful family!
Lisa
i be mad as hell as well... i would of took my camera and showed them the memory stick from the camera... I mean to question Shasha about them and if you took them was not right either..
but it also means that you take very good pictures.
You have had lots of practice taking pictures so you must have gotten to the point you could be a professional.
Juat think of it this way do professional photographers get a hassel when they take regular pictures of their families and go to get them developed as well?
sorry made me think of that for a minute there...
but i am glad you got your pictures.
Umm, I’d chalk it up to the employees being a bit dense...well and the obvious fact that you take fabulous photos!
But I’m just stunned they drilled Shasha… I'd have lost it too!

What the heck...I'd have given anything to be a fly on the wall. I've see you when you are fired up! You are a very talented photographer, but you have heard that from me before. I hope you are going to follow up to management for the unprofessional behavior of their management. Meantime keep taking those pics...we all love them. Po and Sha-sha look so natural together. See ya soon,
Love
Dawn
