It's Little Gym day!!!

It's Little Gym day! Shasha loves her Little Gym... she takes two classes. One is just gymnastics and the other is a gymnasics/dance class. Today she wore her minnie outfit because she is celebrating Halloween all week! Po will start in January.

I'M A HEALTHY LITTLE BOY

I went to the doctor today for my 9 month check up... and I am happy and healthy! I weighed in at 15 and a half pounds and measured 28 inches tall. I only have to grow another 12 inches to go on Splash Mountain!!! I got 3 shots today and I was't very happy about it but I am not being grouchy or cranky anymore. But I am glad that I don't have to go back for 3 months!

My Little Pumpkins:)

Wow... this is a day to put in the books! I certainly do post to our blog a lot but usually I just send them from my cell phone! Today, I actually am using the computer keyboard! That is BIG around here! I must admit that though I do not have time to log onto blogger and post everyday (since my 2 little pumpkins keep me on the move) posting pictures, videos and posts under 1000 characters via my cell phone has become a great way to keep w8tn42and3 updated! Sorry to all of you for the many typos but I am sure those of you who text on the run understand how difficult it is to text with one hand while holding the baby... or feeding the baby... or playing doll house with the big sister ... can be! What can I say??? When it comes to tiny buttons on the cell phone I am all thumbs!






As a family... we have been doing super great! Shasha is getting better and better everyday and overcoming the "I am not the only child" syndrome! She really is a great big sister and she is a super helper! She loves Po so much and shows him all the time by pinching his little cheeks and hugging him... and holding him around the neck... and just plain smothering him! We are using all of our available time to do things as a family! We went to the movies TOGETHER. We go out to eat A LOT (that would explain that 5 lbs I gained since we are home from Taiwan!). We went to pick apples and pumpkins. We saw Disn@y @n Ice. We play together. We shop together. Cuddle together. Take naps together. We do EVERYTHING together! Let's just say that we stay really busy TOGETHER! And, ya know what... I love it!

I am happy to report that I am happy because Po is now sleeping through the night! We just found out through trial and error that Po HATES... No, REALLY HATES... his big crib! So... after a few test nights with Shasha and I sleeping on the couch so we could be close to Po in his Porta-crib... we have now moved the magical Porta-crib to Shasha's room where my littlest pumpkin now sleeps straight through the night from about 8:30 pm until 7 am! It feels so good to get sleep! I feel like a new woman!

Po eats everything in sight! He loves food and I wouldn't doubt that he has gained some weight since he came home from Taiwan either! He weighed in at just 15 lbs exactly when we brought him home and I would venture to say that he is a good 16 or 16 and 1/2 now since his 6-9 month clothes are starting to look like they fit! His new faves include... mashed potatoes and the soft vegetables from soup! Oh... and just last night I think he declared that he loves C@ol Whip!

I honestly can say that I have NEVER been happier! I love my puppies and I love my Scott my 2 little pumpkins with all of my heart! I have been so in love with Shasha for so many years I honestly couldn't imagine how I would have enough love to go around once we added Po to our forever family. But... I realize now that LOVE just grows! It is like Santa's magic toy bag... the extra love just magically appears... and there is always more... even when the bag appears to be empty!

Apple picking... and eatin'

It is a beautiful fall day today... funny since last week it snowed! We took advantage of the warm autumn sunshine and went apple picking at local orchard. W e loaded up into the back of an old school bus and went for a very bumpy ride out to the Mutsu apple trees. Shasha loed twistinv the apples from the trees and Po just enjoyed the ride! And who can resist taking a few bites of the apples too? yummy!!!

Snackin'...

Shasha and Po are having a little after dinner snack... Po is scarfing down his favorite... Puffs. He is doing very well cetting them into his mouth all by himself. 1 week ago I couldn't said that. But now he is a big boy you know and he has improved his pincer skills! This little guy makes us smile bigger every single day!
Shasha on the other hand chose to snack on a candy corn shaped krispy treat on a stick... yummo! When we are in WDW we always buy lots of these... thanks to Dawn who went on the YES trip (without me) we are fully stocked once again! I just love this little girl of mine so much... she is so sweet... just like her snacks!

Po is 9 months old

Yum...yum... yum.. I havn't found a food I don't like. Today Po is 9 months old. He is doing great and it feels like he has just always beena part of our family! Shasha is such a great big sister and helper... her help usually causes me to clean up a bit of a mess... but that's ok. Po is such an easy baby... he is happy and smiles most all the time. He is definitely spoiled and loves to be held... but is also perfectly content playing with his toys on the floor or bouning and jumping in his exercauser. Po has grown so much in the past few weeks and come so far in his capabilities... he is crawling everywhere, pulling himself up and is now trying his best to cruise the furniture... and sometimes he forgets that he can't walk and BOOM ...down goes Po! Now if only he did a better job sleeping at night! Oh... and I should mention that we are wasting no time... Po's first trip to
Disn@y is booked for February!

So this is love...

Disney @n Ice

Tonight we are bonding @ Disney @n Ice: 100 years of magic! shasha is loving it...po not so much!

Po's first double feature... i n 3D

Our family is doing some real bonding. Shasha and I have been hoping to go see Toy Story while it is in theaters... so today the whole family went to the movies! Po did very well at his first double feature...it was 3 and a half hourz total and he slept for about 3 hours!!! Shasha loved the first movie but didn't like Zurg in Toy Story 2. She loves the whole idea of watching movies in 3D!!! Next week she said she will take us to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Where the Wild Things Are. Sounds like a plan... I hope Po is sleepy next week too!!!

Our Princess!

Have I mentioned lately what a great big sister Po has??? Princess Shasha is adjusting very well now to being a big sister! She was having a bit of a problem the last few weeks when she realized HE was staying! But now... she even wants to chage Po's poopy diapers! Even I don't want to do that!!! She is so caring and loving with her little brother and just wants to be with him (and me). And Po... well he gets the biggest smile on his face when she walks into the room! Shasha is the light of my life and she is the reason that we wanted to adopt again! And now... she is the light of Po's life too! She lights up our lives and is so very special! We just love love love her to pieces! She is soon going to be 4 years old and that is simply hard to believe. She is so much like me... she loves her birthday and wants to celebrate it for a WHOLE month... so November is now Shasha month! Soon the celebration will begin... OH, that's right... it already has! We are already celebrating Shasha month in October too!

Just like Daddy...

Let's go back... September 23... Tea Museum and Kai-Shek Memorial Hall

On September 23, the day we left Taiwan, we still manged to squeeze in an entire day's worth of touring! Mr. Yeh picked us up at 9:30 am which meant that we needed to be ready for the day, packed, go for breakfast, check out, and have our bags checked until later tht day all before 9:30 am! Somehow, it all worked out and we had 5 minutes to spare!




























Jill and Ian were already in the van waiting for us and we were on wisked away to the Tea Museum. I have to admit that the museum itself wa a bit on the boring side... I mean how many signs can you read about the growing and processing tea and how to claen your teapot??? But tour guides Shasha and Ian made the Tea Tour interesting! Shasha would just look at the pictures on the signs or in the display case and then tell all of us HER version of the Tea makeing process... and Ian... he would create characters like Bob and Chris and then tell us something that "might" have happened which may or may not have concerned tea! We all had to laugh at the display portraying the Tea Game! What seemed to happen is that someone would have scalding hot tea in a cup on a saucer and people in the crowd would just attempt to catch the tea cup filled with burning liquid in a netlike basket. Hmmmm... sounds like hours of fun!
Shasha kept telling us that a lady was going to give us a Tea Show and we just kept telling her that there wasn't a show here to watch. But after feeding the fish (AGAIN) and posing for many pictures in front of the tEa Museum's backdrop, believe it or not THERE WAS A TEA SHOW! We all sat down on little stools and a woman showed us how to prepare tea in the teapot. We sampled 2 kinds of tea and it was very good. Shasha loved that she had her own cup and was able to taste her very own samples! We also tasted Tea Cookies??? Shasha loved them and of course, Mr. Yeh bought her some! Then we were going to buy some tea but Mr. Yeh told us not to buy any here. He took us to a small family run tea shop where we bought our tea. I hope I have the courage to make it one day in the teapot that Mr. Yeh bought us! Lipton... in the the tea bags is just easy to make!





































Then we dropped Jill and Ian off at their hotel with well wishes for Friday when they would be united with their son, Alec. We exchanged info and vowed to stay in contact!
We went to the Handicraft Center to pick up our chops that we ordered for Po. They came out very nice! Mr. Yeh disappeared with Shasha around the corner at the Handicraft and of course whe came back with an orange juice! He also brought me back a grape juice and it was suprisingly different than what we are used to here in the States and it was super yummy! There were still grapes in it, so you had to chew before you swallowed your drink!

On the way to the airport we toured the Kai-Shek Memorial Hall. When the Communists ousted the Nationalist government in Mainland China in 1949, Chiang Kai-Shek headed the Nationalists as they fled to Taiwan. This memorial honors him. It was very hot and there were many steps to climb. We didn't hang out for more than half and hour. It was a beautiful place to visit though.
