Cruisin' Disn@y Style!

We love Disn@y... and we love cruising! So what could be better than Disn@y Cruise? We set sail on the Dre@m on August 16... and DREAM we did... of more cruise! Scott and I have been a dozen cruises now... Carniv@l, N@rwegian, Princ@ss, R@yal Caribbean and Disn@y! We ae so not loyal to a line! We cruise to the destinations that we crave and book the line that takes us there! This was our second Disn@y cruise but since we sailed out of LA in 2008 we had never been to Disn@y's private island, Castaw@y Cay! So that was our destination...not once, but TWICE... and of course, being on the Disn@y's newest ship, the Dre@m was all part of the plan!

So may I just say that our cruise was so magical that we have TWO more booked! Can't wait to sail next summer on the newest new ship, the Fant@sy! But while we wait...take a look at what a magical time we had on the Dre@m!

First Day of Kindergarten... TakeTWO!

Where, oh where, does time go? Five short years ago I was cradling my little girl in my arms, singing her lullabies to get her to sleep soundly through the night. Last night, it took half an hour to pick out that little diva's clothes for her very first day of Kindergarten...one day late, of course. My little Shasha started Kindergarten today! And as a working mom... I didn't get to see her hop on that big yellow school bus. I did, however, race home so that I could be there as she proudly walked down those big bus steps feeling accomplished, successful and ready to take on the world! And, oh my, looking so beautiful! I am so very proud of this little girl... and even more proud to be her Mommy!

And by the way... I still cradle her in my arms every single night so that she can fall asleep soundly!

Kindergarten... take one...

Backpack... check. New school clothes... check. new sneakers... check. Pencils, folders and notebook all made from recycled materials... check! Shasha starts kindergarten this school year, starting tomorrow, August 29, 2011. Well, she was supposed to start kindergarten tomorrow but Hurricane Irene has postponed her start date. Shasha will now start kindergarten on Tuesday, August 30, 2011! This will be one story that is never forgotten!

Gosh, I love my birthday!

Yesterday was my birthday. 38. I love my birthday and yesterday was no exception, despite the arrival of Hurricane Irene her on the East Coast! Scott and the kids took me for breakfast and then wisked me away to the outlet stores for a day of SHOPPING! I found lots of new school clothes, 3 new pairs of school shoes and a new pair of sunglasses! We had pizza ad cheesesteaks for dinner (my fave) and ice cream cake for dessert!

My favorite part of the day? Hearing Shasha and Po sing Happy Birthday to Mommy! Tears rolled down my cheeks. We may not have tons of money but I am the richest person in the world! Oh yes I am!

What Dreams are made of...

Yes... we just returned from a long Disney vacation! We spent 8 nights at Walt Disney World with great friends before being spoiled on the new Disney Dream Cruise Ship for 5 additional nights... Oh, and then we spent an extra night at WDW to "relax" before heading home! It certainly was a magical trip filled with dreams come true!

P.S. This was my 30th trip to Walt Disney World and I loved it more than ever! Sharing the place that we love with friends made this trip truly magical!
