Wow, what a week

No lies. This week has nearly taken it out of me. My stress level was so high that my blood pressure had to be well above normal! Today is Friday ... and my stress has been reduced by more than half. However, there are still some big things for me to worry about over the next few days. Scoog will take our puppy to the vet this morning. She has been limping on her front paw for about a week now. She seems to get a bit better and start walking on it and then... boom... you have to carry her outside to do her duty because she can't stand up. Cindi lou is such a happy, go-lucky, high energy dog that seeing her just mope on the living room floor all day is a crushing feeling. Cindi Lou turned 10 this past May.

Budget. Just one word says it all. My library budget is due Monday and I will be working on it all weekend long.

The good news???? We had another conference call with our new Taiwan Agency last night. It looks like all is going to be OK. The transition of the program to the new agency went well and now our adoption seems to just continue as planned. Now that is news to put a smile on our faces.

Our 2nd Annual YangXi Travel Group Reunion

This past weekend we hosted our travel groups 2nd Annual Reunion. All of our girls are from YangXi SWI in Guangdong, China. Our travel group spreads across 4 states and it is so nice to see the families and our growing daughters after a year. We visited our favorite Chinese restaurant for lunch and it was very nice. Then we headed back to our house where the girls played, blew bubbles galore, swam and did some crafts and we grownups caught eachother up on our families. We also came up with a date for next year's reunion. Planning is the key to success! For dinner, Nancy and my mom put out a picnic including everything from chicken sandwiches and chips to fruit salads and fried green beans! They really saved me because I was able to sit back and enjoy our company. Boy do I owe them! The night ended with a fireworks display that we all watched from our front porch. It was so perfect... and what is so funny is that we have no idea who was actually putting the fireworks off nearby. They were very nice but could have been a bit closer.... hahahaha!
The next morning Shasha announced to Scott and I that she wants a sister like the other girls. We told her that we are working on it but she might get a little brother first. She excitedly announced, "Let's go get one!"
I told her that we can't just go to a store and buy one. With that she looked at me like I was crazy and responded, "No Momma. Let's get one from Taiwan."
This child remembers everything! It brings tears to my eyes when I think about how much I love her. She makes me want more children.

My first trip to Disneyland and our first Disney Cruise!

It is hard to believe that summer is officially over! Our Disney vacation that has been in planning for a year and a half is just a memory now. Momma is back to school (and I don't like it one bit)and my days of chasing fireflies is soon coming to an end. I had a great time in Disneyland and Momma and Daddy did too! I loved the Tea Cups, the Up and Down Horses and the Pinocchio Ride. The Disney Pixar Parade was great. There were bubbles and people squirting water at me and lots of the parade people came over to give me high fives. We rode the Monster's Inc ride and Winnie the Pooh about 10 times each.
Then, it was off to Mexico on our Disey Cruise. And Yes... I got not 1 but 7 boppin' head turtles! I ate my share of Mickey Mouse ice cream bars and Mac and cheese. I met two little girls, Abby and Bailey, and a boy named Max who quickly became my friends. We ate dinner together every night. I miss them very much! I miss my cruise ship hotel:o( Take a look at my slide show to check out some of my favorite parts of my vacation!

See ya real soon,
Shasha ... with Momma's help!

A new agency!!!

I listened in on a 54 minute conference call tonight with our new agency. Everything sounds very promising. We still must sit tight until details are worked out and agreements between the new agency and Taiwan are made. We will find out more in about 2 weeks and hopefully have a new case worker by September 5. We will keep our fingers crossed. We know that we are a special case with our China adoption going on as well and this could certainly put a kink in things. If that happens, Scott and I have already made our decision as to what to do.

A new agency???

Just as an update... we are waiting patiently to hear news from our closed agency that our adoption will be continued with a new agency. It is all in the works as we speak and we won't know anymore until September. We are keeping our fingers crossed!

Broken Hearts

Broken Hearts hurt. We received an email from our Taiwan agency today stating that they have made the decision to close. They have said that they will try to place their families with another Taiwan agency so that the adoption can be completed. I have heard empty promises before. All we can do now is sit back and have faith, trust and Pixie Dust. Our little Shasha is everything we have ever dreamed of and more... and therefore, whatever happens... we have already been blessed.

Our New Car!!!

Well, last night we out out shopping and ended up buying a brand new car!!! It is Orange, yellow and green and we won't be spending any money on gas! It even came with a new cell phone! Ok...Ok.. so Shasha got a new car... not us! We were walking throough Big Lots and Daddy spots the Dora Cozy Coupe. Shasha HAD to have it! She has an old one that my cousin gave her last year and she loves it... she rides up and down our very long front porch and tells everyone to "get outta the road"!!!! She watched not so patiently as Daddy put the car together for her last night and took it for a little test drive around the kitchen! Today, she moved it outside and was cruisin' da road all morning!
