This past weekend we hosted our travel groups 2nd Annual Reunion. All of our girls are from YangXi SWI in Guangdong, China. Our travel group spreads across 4 states and it is so nice to see the families and our growing daughters after a year. We visited our favorite Chinese restaurant for lunch and it was very nice. Then we headed back to our house where the girls played, blew bubbles galore, swam and did some crafts and we grownups caught eachother up on our families. We also came up with a date for next year's reunion. Planning is the key to success! For dinner, Nancy and my mom put out a picnic including everything from chicken sandwiches and chips to fruit salads and fried green beans! They really saved me because I was able to sit back and enjoy our company. Boy do I owe them! The night ended with a fireworks display that we all watched from our front porch. It was so perfect... and what is so funny is that we have no idea who was actually putting the fireworks off nearby. They were very nice but could have been a bit closer.... hahahaha!
The next morning Shasha announced to Scott and I that she wants a sister like the other girls. We told her that we are working on it but she might get a little brother first. She excitedly announced, "Let's go get one!"
I told her that we can't just go to a store and buy one. With that she looked at me like I was crazy and responded, "No Momma. Let's get one from Taiwan."
This child remembers everything! It brings tears to my eyes when I think about how much I love her.
She makes me want more children.
